Hi Ken, where have you been ?

I have been absolutely very bored hearing that line hundreds times since a couple weeks ago. I am sorry guys I left with out prior notifications made all of you kept wondering where I was…

3 weeks ago (26th February 2008) I left Jakarta suddenly due to some urgent things to do at Surabaya. It was only less then 10 seconds for to decide whether I should go or not, at that time I decided to go, went home quickly then fly to Surabaya on the first Adam Air flight at 6.40 am. Thanks God it was not the plane which slipped of the roadway

Anyway that was the first time I came there and believe me, it was far from what I could describe as a vacation. Those days I had to wait work until night looking at unnecessary items that were far from my objectives which most of them were confidential. In the middle of those boring heavy work’s load days, all hell broke loose.

Thanks to those “hell”, in the end It had turned out that I had to come back empty handedly. The only things that greeted me back were tons of papers on my desk in Jakarta. I think visiting there was a bad decision.

Wait a minute… only that what I can say about my journey? well, actually yes I can not tell you more about my works there, but I tell you about other things I did in Surabaya. I start with what I’ve said in Jie’s Blog

Oh my god, this is so chinese…

Sorry for being such a racism, but I just could not stand seeing such a building built behind common houses. They just bought the land behind, leaving the houses in front just right what they were. Did they really doing this only to get huge widely cheap land? Look at the picture above, they just bought one houses then turned it into entrance way and look at the picture below, you might be wondering where the entrance is…

I stayed a few hours there taking some photos for my albums. After speaking to local people and securities there, I found out the reason why they left the houses in front of them. There was a rumor about widening Adityawarman Road (the main road) so part of those houses will get condemnation. I haven’t found out any confirmation about this rumor.

The Next Big Thing

look at those arrow above… that’s the main reason why I had to visit Surabaya. It should be a very luxurious wonderful apartment and mall building but… Sorry I can not say my opinions here. In my first few months in construction industry my friend, senior, and mentor said this words to me

If you pay with banana, you get monkeys

I could only say those words now. but my friend, senior and mentor did not realize one thing. I hope no causalities for this projects and I hope the other companies willing to work voluntarily by not really employing monkeys to do their works

I took a week to publish this one. There were too many fascinating story and issues here but sadly I can not post them here so I had to review and cut them out from here. I really hope none will be offended with my post here
