What line? Well I am not talking about the song Akon-Cross That Line

Although somehow my feeling is just like what that song is all about…It started reached its peak on this weekend. I was in the middle of my jobs, solving all those unnecessary administration tasks, arguing with my coworkers about their duties, and suddenly I got this on my messenger

I have bought it… you are on it and now you can get it too at your local retailer

Holy Cow !! ( sapi suci? saya bukan orang hindu ). That moment I still thought It was just a joke. Anyway, I went outside to the nearest bookshop ( actually its a hut ).

I got that magazine that my friend talked about and… I just shocked they really did that. That stupid idiotic magazine really published it… They really crossed that line!

Wow, I am on Magazine again… but !

OK here is the problem. About what they wrote about me, I just can say beside my name, all are wrong !!.. Here I translate the fist sentences here:

I was sad when I found out that my favorite site was closed because they ran out of cash…

Thats sound so sissy , I’ve never said such words… In fact they have never call me to do any interview with them. They just made things up.

Breaching The Code Of Ethics

I called my friends who works as a policeman and a lawyer. Do You know what they said?

“I am sorry Kenji, they did not make violation against any law here. I know what they did is not right, but you can not sue them. Why don’t you use your right to speak up against them?”

This one has become quite difficult for me. I know who making this article, even more than that, I can put the URL of his blog right here.

But If I did that, he would get a lot of trouble. Right now I think the best choice I had is just forgive him for what he did. Maybe that time the author lost his mind or perhaps got drunk so he submitted this fiction interview to the editor.

Oh by the way, I do not know exactly the code of ethics of journalism… If you want to find out just ask uncle WIKI about this. But for me, I got my own code of ethics in blogging, and I believe most them are similar with what people have. Here are mine :

1. Use Anonymity

I believe using original name without proper authorization or permit is something that should be avoid. They used my full name with out any confirmation for and from me. not only that, they mentioned my University, ITB… damn, my friends back there will be laughing at me

if someone asking you not to mention his/her name in your post… will you still putt their real name on it?

2. Avoid Harming others

You should now whether your post could offend or harm others. their article did not contain any harmful facts or opinions there but still… It is not limited to what words you choose, but the content could really hurt someone here. They said the old site was closed down due to financial problem, their did not even realize that the previous owner was a rich man, he just did not want to be bothered to this issue again.

Secondly thanks to this post, I got minor trouble with my friends who managing the league they talked about. It is not their words which causes problem, but their content did it! beside that, they put the story when I got 3rd place in FIFA 2006. why on earth they chose that one, I had plenty of pictures when I got the 1st place

3. Objectivity

Now, I think this is today main issue…. I did not have any conversation or interview result in that article. If you read that article, it sounds like I am the author… now thats suck!

Whenever you post an article, you should make clear differentiation whether it is your opinion, or it is a factual information, or it just other people’s one. But in that article they made as if I was the one

geezzzz…. Even until today, people still do not understand the meaning of code of ethics… It is not about you know me and I know you so everything will be ok… Just don’t do this once again OK!
